Happy Halloween to all of our travel friends who are celebrating!
I have to admit that Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. Instead of giving out candy, we give out toys. This year it’s roll back ghost racers but in past years it’s been monster stress balls, monster rubber duckies, pumpkin whoopie cushions, etc. We’ve also been told that our decorations are the best in the neighborhood:
I know that has nothing to do with travel, so thanks for indulging me for a paragraph.
Anyway, besides Halloween being one of my favorite holidays, The Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World and Disneyland is my #1 favorite attraction ever.I’ve already posted a few things about the HM:
- Some backstage photos of DL’s HM with the lights on (6th paragraph of the 2nd section down)
- The technology behind Disney’s Haunted Mansion (it’s fascinating!)
- That time when we got to eat dinner inside WDW Haunted Mansion (to date, it’s THE best themed meal I’ve ever experienced)
There’s a whole lot of folklore surrounding the Haunted Mansion that runs the gamut from what it was originally supposed to be, to the secrets behind what the attraction eventually wound up being. Like these…

Sooooo…did you learn anything about the HM that you didn’t know before? Or maybe you have any other snippets of info about the HM that you’d like to share?
