Circa, First Vegas Adults-Only Casino Resort, Announces Opening Dates

Over the years, Las Vegas has tried to reinvent itself as a vacation spot for families. It’s worked to some extent – alongside the casinos, strip clubs and legal prostitution, you can also find the Discovery Children’s Museum and several activities that are, although not necessarily made for kids, at least child friendly.

That being said, there are plenty of people who wish that Vegas had remained more of a location where you didn’t see very many strollers. Welp, their prayers have been partially answered.

Circa Resort & Casino is a hotel and casino that’s been under construction on Fremont Street since February 2019. Located in the area for the former Mermaids Casino and the Glitter Gulch strip club, the complex is planned to have 777 rooms in its 44 floors (it will be the tallest building in downtown Las Vegas). There will be 5 restaurants, and the casino will include 1,350 slot machines and 59 tables.

Circa has just announced its opening dates. That’s a plural “dates,” with an S at the end, because it will open in two phases:

And the entire complex will be adults only, which is pretty exciting if you want to be somewhere in Vegas with no strollers, no kids in the pools, no little one crying in the restaurants etc. It’s thought to be the first 21+ casino resort in Las Vegas history (although, to be fair, the Wynn tried to keep kids out of the Bellagio when it opened. It didn’t last long. But this is a different era).

From Circa’s Twitter:

Once, Las Vegas held a certain mystique as this fabulous place where only grown-ups could play. Call us old-fashioned, but we think adults need some of that mystique back in their lives. Book your room starting June 24th at 9am for #CircaLasVegas, a 21+ experience.

Booking for the hotel will begin on June 24th. For more information about that, or the entire Circa casino and hotel, here is their website.
