For Sharon and me, there’s no morning that doesn’t start without coffee. If there’s a Starbucks nearby, that’s where we’ll go. If not we’ll head to McDonald’s, because while we’re not a huge fan of their food (besides the fries), they do serve some decent brewed coffee. If we can’t find either, we’ll settle for Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.
I don’t hate Dunkin’ coffee. It’s more of a personal thing because one of my first jobs was to clean the stockroom, kitchen and bathrooms of our local Dunkin’ Donuts. While I got to bring home my fill of French Crullers, Boston Creme and Chocolate Croissants, having to clean up after the baker who flung dough, frosting and filling all over the floor (and wall and everywhere else) just so I’d have something to clean up soured me to their products for the rest of my life.
But you don’t have the same scars that I do so I wanted to share the current Dunkin’ promotion.

- With Dunkin’s new Free Coffee Mondays offer, the week begins in the best way possible – with a free medium cup of the brand’s renowned hot or iced coffee for all DD Perks members, with the purchase of any Dunkin’ food item. Free Coffee Mondays begin on Monday, August 3 and will continue on August 10 and 17
- Free Donut Fridays are back again beginning Friday, August 7 and will continue on August 14 and 21. On each Free Donut Friday, DD Perks members will receive a free classic donut with the purchase of any beverage. Guests can end the week on a sweet note with favorites like Boston Kreme, Glazed, Glazed Chocolate, Strawberry Frosted with Sprinkles, and more.
Next to our local Starbucks is a Dunkin’ Donuts. While I can place my mobile order for Starbucks and be back on the road in minutes, the Drive-Thru lane for the Dunkin’ often wraps around the building. Ain’t no one got time for that.
