It’s been reported that Plaza Premium airport lounges are leaving the Priority Pass network as of July 1st. I need to be honest that I never knew about a Plaza Premium lounge until I researched them for our website.
With only one location in the US and most locations in Asia and the Middle East, they weren’t a priority for me.
However, that doesn’t mean that the loss of access to them for Priority Pass members will not be a hardship for people who frequented the airports where they are the best lounge option.
Then I remembered that Plaza Premium Lounges are an American Express Platinum card partner.
To enter, present your valid Platinum Card, a boarding pass showing a confirmed reservation for same-day travel and a government issued ID. You may enter with up to two (2) complimentary guests.
So while it looks like Priority Pass members are going to lose access to Plaza Premium lounges, many others who have dual access from their AMEX Platinum Cards will still be able to get in.
That is if this whole drama isn’t due to a contract dispute that will be resolved by the end of the month and this was all nothing to worry about.
