Hey look! Someone was arrested on a plane and it WASN’T because they refused to wear a mask!
A confrontation between two women and two toddlers on a JetBlue flight ended with the women being arrested and facing criminal charges.
Connecticut residents Kaylene Thalia Valentin, 21, and Desiree Elizabeth Goffe, 23, allegedly began cursing and yelling at a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old when the toddlers allegedly tapped and kicked their seats on their flight into Bradley International Airport, according to the arrest report of Connecticut State Police.
According to the report, “Goffe and Valentin responded inappropriately by directly yelling and cursing at the children, causing the passengers on the plane to be nervous and the kids and parents to be scared.”
State police also said the women cursed and “used vulgar words towards the children and parents.”
The plane’s captain called CT state troopers to the airport, who were present when the plane landed. Multiple passengers approached the troopers once they deplaned, to tell them what happened.
Both women were removed from the flight and arrested.
This was not the first arrest for Valentin – she was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree assault and accessory to third-degree assault, in March 2021.
Both Valentin and Goffe face charges for breach of peace and impairing the morals of a minor. They were each released on $5,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Sept. 28.
