Raise your hand if you’re an over-packer. I know I am. For some reason, when I know I’m going to be living out of a suitcase for X number of days, I feel like I have to bring x2 of almost everything.
Apparently, I’m not the only one though. The internets are filled with people who share my pain (and heavy luggage) of overpacking. Here are some of the funnier examples.
me usually: i will wear one outfit today and read a few pages of a single book
me packing: each day will demand a casual, formal and In Case Of Spillage ensemble and i need at least THREE books for the hour plane ride and I will arise at 6 to lift weights and must bring equipment— Alexandra Petri (@petridishes) April 6, 2018

At the point of packing for my trip where I’ve splayed out a dozen books and now have to read the first chapter of each one to choose the handful that I’ll overpack and never end up reading.

Every time I go away I underpack (where are my socks?) or overpack (I have enough shirts to clothe the Game of Thrones cast for a month).

I always get excited when I see purple luggage on the carousel then I realize that I "overpack" and those bags are too small to be mine.

Honestly, does packing ever get better? Am I going to suck at this my entire life? Will I ever learn to not overpack for imaginary situations that certainly never happen?

I love packing because it’s a time when I convince myself while I’m away, I’ll exercise and start flossing my teeth daily. pic.twitter.com/BjmTodC9gJ
