Tokyo’s Adults Only Theme Park, Owned By Japanese Porn Co., Thriving

The Japanese have quite an obsession with sex. As a country, they have one of the most robust adult-toy and pornography industries in the world. Some of their TV commercials for even the most non-sexual items are pretty suggestive (NSFW warning). And where else are you going to see fertility festivals that include images and models of male sexual organs just about everywhere? (NSFW warning: lots of adult images) So is it any wonder they opened an 18+ theme park of sorts in Tokyo, and even now, years later, it’s thriving?

The park was designed by Japan’s most prominent adult film producer/distributor, Soft on Demand (SOD), and is therefore called, you guessed it, SOD Land.

SOD Land is located in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district. Limited to a clientele of 18+, it’s a building with several floors, and a different theme on each one.

This is still the age of COVID, of course, and Japan is still being VERY careful. So all customers must wear masks while on the premises.

SOD Land’s website can be found here. I’ve tried hard to find an English version of it but was unsuccessful.

Tokyo-to, Shinjuku-ku, Kabukicho 1-21-3, Furufuru Building
東京都新宿区歌舞伎町1-21-3 フルフルビル
Open 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Since we can again travel to Japan, enjoy!
