There are few things more aggravating in the aviation world than a cancelled flight. Sure, there’s this sneaky hack to try to avoid a cancelled flight. And we’ve even gone over what to do if you’re stuck in an airport overnight. But sometimes you’re just stuck and have to grin and bear it.
During the Christmas 2021 season, Shake Shack had an offer where travelers departing from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City could get free fries in one of the chain’s two airport locations if their flight was delayed or canceled.
I guess maybe someone at Darden Restaurants was paying attention? Or maybe their “people” are just smart. But one of its restaurant chains, Bahama Breeze, is offering a similar deal, for those whose flights have been cancelled, during early July.
Travelers who visit participating locations near some of the country’s busiest airports in Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Vegas, and Washington D.C. from July 1 – 8, and show proof of their canceled flight during that same week, will receive a complimentary margarita flight, featuring their signature Classic, Dragon Fruit, and Coconut-Pineapple margaritas.
Get it? A free margarita FLIGHT!
Here’s the fine print:
- Offer valid 7/1/23 to 7/8/23 at participating restaurants, which include: all Florida locations with the exception of the Orlando International Airport (MCO); Virginia Beach; Potomac Mills; and Las Vegas.
- Must be 21+ to participate.
- Must show proof of canceled flight via email from the airline.
- Limited to one per person for one visit only.
- Canceled flight must occur between 7/1/23 to 7/8/23
