2 Resorts on Las Vegas Strip to Eliminate Free Self-Parking

When you went to Las Vegas, one of the known perks was free self-parking at the vast majority of the resorts.

That perk may be on its way out.

Later this summer, both the Venetian and the Palazzo hotels are going to end their free self-service parking. The two resorts are sister hotels, both owned by The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Grazie Rewards Premier members (those with at least 1,000 Grazie Rewards) and above will receive complimentary self-parking. Grazie Rewards Elite members (those with 10,000 or more Grazie Rewards) and above will continue to receive complimentary valet parking.

“After evaluating operations and business demand, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, which includes The Venetian, The Palazzo, and The Venetian Convention and Expo Center, will begin charging for self-parking later this summer. Grazie Rewards Premier members and above will receive complimentary self-parking. Grazie Rewards Elite members and above will continue to receive complimentary valet parking,” the Venetian Resorts confirmed to FOX5.

Charging for self-parking is, of course, a way to increase revenue streams. That being said, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority:

So it’s not as if The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is crying for money…they just want more of it.
