Streaker on Disneyland’s “It’s A Small World” Ride Captured, Arrested

When you go to Disneyland, there are a few park rules and regulations you’re required to follow. They all have to do with the safety of park guests and cast members (Disneyspeak for “employees”), as well as the integrity of media for entry.

Park rules for guest courtesy and attire explicitly ban “engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of the Disneyland Resort or any part thereof.” They also state that, “proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times.”

One guy apparently didn’t read the rules.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, a man who had stripped down and streaked at Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” ride was arrested and accused of indecent exposure.

The suspect had taken his clothes off about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, said police in Anaheim, California. Sgt. Jon McClintock confirmed that the 26-year-old “was naked”

According to eyewitnesses, the guest got out of the ride vehicle during operation. The ride was stopped when the resort was alerted. Multiple guests, who were on the ride when it stopped, got video of the man in the India section of the ride. At first he had stripped down to his underwear, but later on had apparently removed the rest of his clothing as he walked around the attraction.

“Stop, stop! I need you to stop,” one staff member could be heard screaming at the man as he wandered around the ride. “Please just stop, you’re going to get hurt.”

Meagan Carmona took the above videos.

“We noticed he started climbing onto the different parts of the ride, and we noticed that he was undressed,” Carmona said, when speaking with Entertainment Weekly.

“He just looked out of it,” Carmona said. She added that at least four employees got involved to try to help the man get down from the ride’s structure when it was stopped. “He just didn’t look like he knew where he was. He looked worried. My friends and I had seen him, and it looked like he was going to jump on us.”

Carmona continued that one of the employees “got him to sit down for a minute,” but “after that he continued walking in the opposite direction, behind us. Once he got to a different part of the ride, he ended up walking into the water and started drinking the water, and ran off toward the entrance of the ride.”

Later on, the man had wandered to the outside part of the ride, after he had removed the rest of his clothing (NSFW – nudity)

However he was eventually captured and carried out of the park.

The following is a montage of everything that was captured on video (the NSFW section was pixelated in this version).

It was apparent in all of the videos that the man, who has not been named, had taken some sort of mind altering…something.

Following removal from the park, Anaheim police arrested the man on suspicion of indecent exposure and being under the influence of a controlled substance, as per The Orange County Register. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution, a department spokesperson said.

The ride, which had been shut down for about an hour, was then restarted without incident.
