You know the scene – Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the classic film based on the novel by Truman Capote, opens with Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), nibbling on a pastry and drinking some coffee while peeking into the windows of the Tiffany & Co. It’s early and the store isn’t open yet, so all she can do is gaze longingly at everything.
Since the film’s premiere in 1961, no one’s been able to really eat breakfast at Tiffany’s (I mean, really, they sell jewelry, china, and silver!), but if you’re an Audrey Hepburn fan, get ready to swoon, because now you can!
In 2017, Tiffany & Co. opened an eatery on the fourth floor of their flagship store in New York City called The Blue Box Café.
“The Blue Box Café serves American classics made with the highest quality, regionally sourced ingredients,” the brand said in a statement. “The simple menu—which will change and evolve through the seasons—is a refined take on signature New York dishes, reinvented to be uniquely Tiffany.”
The cafe proved itself to be wildly popular. So much so that it closed for an expansion a few years after its grand opening. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit not long thereafter and between it still being a small space, and the owners deciding to be cautious, the space remained closed for quite some time.
However in April of 2023, Breakfast at Tiffany’s reopened (along with a revamping of the entire Tiffany & Co. store) and has been thrilling guests ever since.
Some of the Blue Box Café’s more recent menu items have included:
BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY Served with a choice of coffee or tea
Croissant
Apricot danish
French butter cake
Granola parfait
Pineapple rosace
Eggs
Juice
TEA AT TIFFANY TEA

They also have a selection of sweets, as well as a rotating seasonal menu.

The Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud offers a unique take on Tiffany’s coveted dining experience. New York’s Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud and Blue Box Café Executive Chef Raphaelle Bergeon bring a seasonally inspired menu, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s Afternoon Tea, and an all-day à la carte selection, to this charmingly elegant café. The Peter Marino-designed space now includes a private dining area, café and bar and features custom art installations as well as the signature Tiffany shade of blue.
Located on the 6th Floor of the Tiffany & Co. Landmark Store on NYC’s 5th Avenue, the eatery is open 10am to 8pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 7pm on Sundays. Reservations are available on Resy and can be booked 30 calendar days out. However, they also have a few tables held for walk-ins, as well. The Blue Box Café offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options aside from their regular menu.
