AMEX Offers Alert: Earn Points on Amazon, Cash Back with Apple Pay

a blue and white logo

Taking advantage of AMEX Offers is one of the easiest ways to offset the ever-increasing annual fees on their cards. Fortunately, AMEX still comes through with some genuinely useful offers, which can be almost too easy to use.

We’ve written before about why you should always pay attention to AMEX Offers, and here are two recent examples that made us glad we checked.

1,500 Membership Rewards Points for Shopping at Amazon

This one almost slipped past me, but thankfully I spotted it in an email from AMEX just in time. The offer? Earn 500 additional Membership Rewards® points when you use your enrolled eligible card to spend $25 or more at Amazon.com. You could earn this bonus up to three times, for a total of 1,500 Membership Rewards points. The purchases had to be made by June 25, 2025.

I split up a few regular Amazon orders across three $25+ purchases, and just like that, I earned 1,500 extra points.

If you value Membership Rewards points at about 1.5 cents each, this bonus gave me roughly $22.50 in value for $75 of spend on items I was planning to buy anyway. Not bad at all.

$10 Back for Using Apple Pay Three Times

While browsing AMEX Offers, we spotted another easy deal—this one showed up on three of my wife’s AMEX cards: her AMEX Platinum Card (as an authorized user on my account), Gold Card, and Hilton Surpass AMEX. The offer? Make three purchases using Apple Pay® and get $10 back. No specific retailers required, no minimum spend—just use Apple Pay three times by August 13, 2025, and you’re done.

If you’re playing in two-player mode, this is a great reminder to check both of your AMEX accounts and be sure to scroll through each of your cards. Some offers only appear on select cards, even within the same household.

Final Thought

These are the kinds of low-effort wins that make AMEX Offers worth the extra clicks. Between the Amazon points and Apple Pay rebate, we earned over $30 in value just by being enrolled and paying attention.

Always check your offers, and don’t assume what you see on one card will match another—even within the same account. You never know what deals are hiding in plain sight.
