The Airline That Allows You to Book Flights Anonymously

by SharonKurheg

Suppose you want to take a trip and you know you’re going to go with family/friends/co-workers, but you don’t know who yet. That normally makes things difficult because the airlines typically want the names of everyone who will be traveling when you make the reservation. But ultra low cost carrier Wizz Air makes it possible for you to make a reservation for you and up to 9 “eventually to be named but currently anonymous” passengers.

With their Flexible Travel Partner Service, you can create a new reservation without adding all of the names of your travel partners at the time of booking (you can just give your name and include more names as you go along). It’s super easy to do—you just make the reservation for you and however many other (up to 9) people and click on the “I’ll add the name later” box for whoever you plan to name at a later date.

The service has a nominal fee per person (currently 15 Euros). When you make the reservation, you have to pay the full ticket price and fees of all selected services for all the passengers, but the names of all passengers don’t need to be finalized until 3 hours before the flight (heads up that if you add a name and then need to change the name, you’ll have to pay Wizz Air’s usual name change fee per person).

Based out of Hungary, Wizz Air offers flights in and out of Europe, the U.K., and the Middle East. For more info, go to http://wizzair.com.
