Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Away Free Cruises To 15 Who Spread The Joy Of Learning

by SharonKurheg

It’s been said that travel is one of the best forms out education out there. It gives you the opportunity to learn about history, other cultures, compassion and social skills. You can potentially find out more about about nature and/or even a new language. So who better to potentially get free travel than those who understands education the best…teachers?

That’s exactly what Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is setting out to do by giving away 15 cruises to teachers..

Teacher Appreciate Week is May 6th through 10th so NCL is showing its appreciation for educators by giving away some free cruises to some of the best ones.

Through April 12, 2019, any teacher in the U.S. or Canada who specifically “demonstrates a passion for spreading the joy of learning” in their classrooms can be nominated by a student’s parent, or a friend or relative, or they can even nominate themselves. Once they’re nominated, anyone can vote for their teacher of choice, and even share their choice on social media to help get them more votes.

Screen Shot 2019-03-14 at 10.22.37 PMAfter April 12, 15 teachers will be chosen as finalists and each finalist will win a 7-day cruise vacation for two on the brand-new-in-the-U.S. Norwegian Joy ship (get it? Spreading joy/Norwegian Joy?). On top of that, each finalist will get airfare and accommodations to an award ceremony that will be held in Seattle on May 3rd, where each of the 15 educators will have a chance to win $15,000 for his/her school. So not only will 15 lucky teachers get a lovely, well-deserved cruise vacation, but one of them will win a hunk of cash to help benefit all the teachers and students at his/her school. And that is VERY cool!

If you are a teacher, or know one who deserved to win a once-in-a-lifetime chance like this, click here to start the nomination process!

***A huge thank-you to Diane A. (who will always be Diane B. in my head – that’s what happens when you’ve known someone since age what, 11? LOL!) for the heads up on this topic!
