In spring 2019, the Walt Disney Company announced that effective May 1, 2019, there would be size limitations on strollers that could enter the parks and that stroller wagons were being added to the list of items with wheels (i.e. skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, pull wagons, and wheeled mobility devices with less than 3 wheels, among others) that could no longer be brought into the park. It was said to have been done in an effort to alleviate stroller congestion and improve park traffic flow.

Walt Disney World Resort makes updates from time to time, and the reduction of stroller sizes is intended to ease guest flow and reduce congestion, making the park experience more enjoyable for everyone who visits. To ensure that their guests understand the new rules, Disneyland and Walt Disney World both placed size check locations outside each of their respective parks…

…but that doesn’t do you a whole lot of good if you bring your stroller from home and it turns out to not fit. So lots of future Disney guests are (hopefully) measuring their strollers before they take them to Disney.

What about those princess carriage strollers by Fantasy Strollers? They look like stroller wagons. What’s up with those?
Fantasy Strollers is a private entity in Central Florida that offers daily rentals of strollers shaped like princess carriages. As they don’t have a wagon’s capacity and are only made to hold kids, not stuff, they’re categorized as strollers, not wagons and not stroller wagons. Although originally quite large, they redesigned their strollers after Disney announced their new maximum stroller size. At 50″ x 20″, they are once again within Disney’s (new) maximum measurement. So at this time, Fantasy Strollers are allowed in WDW. My family member is disabled and needs to use a stroller wagon/uses a medical stroller that is larger than 31″ x 52″. What can I do?
Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis and frankly, with the exception of Segways (they’re not allowed for Guests’ use, period), I’ve never heard of a Disney park turning anyone with a disability away, regardless of what type or size of mobility assistance they need. Hello! I don’t see the Evenflo Pivot Xplorer listed on either or list. Do you know if taken as the stroller option is allowed please? It measures under the requirements at 39” length, 27”wide. Thanks!
Hello! As you can see from the date, we wrote this post nearly 4 years ago. With 7,000+ posts under our belt over the past 6 years, we generally don’t update posts after they’ve been written. I would suggest you ask Disney. Sorry we can’t be more helpful.
