Hilton Honors regularly runs bonus point promotions for members. While the program already awards 10 base points per dollar, you can often earn multiples of that during a valuable promotion.
Hilton’s promotions usually follow one of two formulas. They either award bonus points per stay or offer 2x or 3x base points. This summer’s promotion is almost identical to last year’s, right down to the name. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
The “More Nights, More Points” promotion started on May 2, 2022, and runs through September 5, 2022.
For this promotion, Hilton rewards members for longer stays.
- Double Bonus Points for stays of up to two (2) Nights.
- Triple Bonus Points for stays of three (3) nights or more.
Once registered, you’ll earn at least double points for all stays. Stays of three nights or more earn triple bonus points. This format is great for leisure travelers who might only be taking 2 trips this summer, maybe a long weekend and a week vacation.
The bonus starts on the first stay and you’re able to rack up points quickly. Hilton Honors members earn 10X base points per dollar, except for stays at Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton hotels which earn 5 Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate. Any extra points earned because of status or having a co-brand credit card are not eligible to earn double points.
Here’s an example from Hilton Honors of how points are awarded.
An Honors member stays 4 nights at $100 a night and earns 4,000 Base Points and 8,000 Bonus Points for a total of 12,000 Points.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 4,000 Base Points
- 20 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 8,000 Bonus Points
I like how Hilton assumes you’d be able to find any property this summer for $100 a night 🙂
