The Hilton Honors program already awards a bunch of points when staying at one of its properties. Base level earning for Honors members is 10X per base dollar spent except for stays at Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton hotels, which earn 5 Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate. In addition, Silver members get a 20% bonus, Gold members get an 80% bonus and Diamond members get 100% extra points for eligible stays.
In addition, you can rack up an extra 7-14 points per dollar spent by having one of the co-brand AMEX cards.
As if this wasn’t enough, Hilton Honors have run ongoing promotions for as long as I can remember. As soon as one offer ends, another one starts. Hilton’s promotions usually follow one of two formulas. They either award bonus points per stay or offer 2x or 3x base points.
The current summer promotion offering 2X or 3X points ends on September 5, 2022.
Not surprisingly, the new Hilton Honors “Double Your Stay” promotion starts on September 6, 2022.
Like most Hilton promotions, this one is pretty straightforward.
- For stays within the promotion period, you’ll earn Bonus Points equal to the number of Base Points earned.
- If your check-out date is between Monday and Friday, you’ll earn an additional 2,000 Bonus Points.
Procrastinators beware! You need to register before you check out of your hotel, so you may as well sign up right now.
If you have any other questions, like how they will handle stays that start before the promotion or if you check out after the end date, along with many other things, are answered at this FAQ page.
