That Time When 40 Spider-Man Cosplayers Filled A Jetstar Plane

Screen Shot 2017-06-23 at 11.56.19 PM.png“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is scheduled for release next month and to celebrate the event, budget airline Jetstar recently unveiled its brand new Spider-Man-themed “Spider Jet” airplane in Japan. They didn’t stop there, though! As another part of their summer marketing campaign, Jetstar also encouraged Spider-Man cosplayers to enter a contest in order to be on Spider Jet’s maiden flight. The one stipulation was

that they had to remain in costume for the entire flight, which was from Tokyo to Osaka. However, that’s only about 247 miles, so a flight time of about an hour or less. 40 lucky cosplayers got to be involved (as Jetstar Japan’s sister airline, Jetstar Asia said, “…inside Narita T3, it was like a mini Marvel-Con with the characters in action!”) and the friendly skies were a little safer with 40 Spider-Mans (Spider-Men?) onboard.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These pictures are worth even more than that, don’t you think?

I bet those cosplayers had a blast! Good for them!
