- Million Mile Secrets published a very detailed guide about cruise ship excursions. While the article goes over paying for excursions with points, it also gives the pros and cons for booking through the cruise line or making your own reservations.
- On Miles to Memories, Mark was looking for help planning a one night stay in Orlando. While those posts are usually too broad, he narrowed his search to a few hotels. While I usually avoid comments on posts, this comment thread has some good information about several of the Hilton properties in the area around WDW and the amenities offered at each of them.
- Universal Orlando Resort recently introduced mobile order service to their app. Alicia at Best of Orlando explains how the new system works.
- Gary from View from the Wing wrote a post about American Airlines’ new way to provide hotel rooms, meals and transportation during delays. American is rolling out an electronic system that would replace the current system of handing out paper vouchers. This may simplify the system and make it easier for stranded passengers to get a room and a meal until they can get to their destination.
- Nick from Frequent Miler gives details about an upcoming Hilton stay using Hilton Honors points. As it turned out, it was less points for him to stay five nights instead of four. Read his post to find out why and how to use the quirks of the Honors program to your advantage.
- Could there be behind-the-scenes work on the new Cirque du Soleil building at Walt Disney World’s Disney springs area? Screamscape says it’s a possibility, since this was found.
- Lucky from One Mile At A Time shared why he likes flying JetBlue’s Mint service so much. Mint is JetBlue’s business/first class cabin available on certain routes. We’ve never flown it because Orlando isn’t one of the markets that gets the Mint planes.
- When you book an airline award ticket, that’s not the end of the work. Stephan from Rapid Travel Chai writes about what can go wrong with an award ticket, specifically when booked with United Miles, and what you can do to make sure everything is all confirmed.
