Oh Sure…NOW The Awesome Car Rental Deals Happen!

a woman standing in front of a row of cars

Back in February, I wrote about the rental car companies’ sales to get their vehicles back from Florida to the northeast for the Spring/Summer/Fall season. They weren’t particularly good in comparison to the previous year ($24.95, as opposed to $9.95 in 2018), but who knows what’s going through corporates’ minds when they start sales.

Welp, apparently some other car rental companies jumped on the bandwagon because NOW the “good sales” are going on. Take a look:

Hertz

Hertz is offering one-way car rentals on Economy through Full-sized cars from Florida for base rates starting at $7.99 per day if you rent for up to 14 days between April 21, 2019 and May 31, 2019. Eligible pick-up locations include airport and neighborhood locations in:

Eligible drop-off locations include airport and neighborhood locations in:

Here are the Terms & Conditions:

*Rate advertised is the base rate only. Taxes, tax, reimbursement, age differential charges, fees, surcharges and optional service charges such as refueling are not included. Subject to availability, this one-way offer is redeemable at select Hertz markets. Eligible pick-up locations include airport and neighborhood locations in Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Sarasota, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa from April 21, 2019 through May 31, 2019. Eligible drop-off locations include airport and neighborhood locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington D.C., New York City, Boston and Philadelphia. Age, driver, credit and qualifying rate restrictions for the renting location apply. Offer not valid and rate change or additional fees may apply in the event of reservation modification, early/late vehicle return or if not returning vehicle to the designated location. Offer has no cash value, and may not be used with other discounts, promotions or special rates.

Budget

Budget is offering one-way car rentals out of Florida for prices starting at $14.95 per day (Economy, Compact, Midsize, Standard or Full Size cars can rent for $14.95 per day, Intermediate SUVs for $19.95/day, Standard SUV or 12-passenger van for $24.95/day, Minivan for $28.95/day and Standard Elite SUC for $39.95/say).

Terms & Conditions:

The Enterprise and Alamo offers starting at $24.95 to drive out of Florida, and Enterprise’s $29.99 offers to drive out of Arizona are still in effect. But really, with all things being equal, if you have a choice of renting a car for $7.99 per day or even $14.95 per day, why on earth would you choose a company that’s offering a rental for $24.95 per day?

I wonder what took Hertz and Budget so long to advertise their sales. But oh well, they’re there now. So if you have a need to drive a rental car from Florida to select places outside of Florida this Spring, hopefully you’ll be able to save a chunk of change after all!

Don’t forget!

If you decide to rent a car one-way from Florida or Arizona, make sure:
