For people like me, staying at a hotel, motel or Holiday Inn, it often consisted of looking in the phone book and finding a place to order a pizza or Chinese food. Jump forward to today. Ordering food is just a few taps away on your phone. The number of food delivery services seems to be growing every day to the point where I can’t keep up. This shift is changing the landscape to where some hotels are even doing away with room service since guests are just ordering food to their rooms from local restaurants. I wrote about this when I wondered if dining apps would be the end of hotel room service.
