Check Your AMEX Accounts For These Restaurant Offers

I’ll admit it, I’ve been bad about checking our AMEX Offers recently. Besides the one I used earlier this year to save on a Marriott hotel stay in New York, I haven’t enrolled for any other offer. I guess I was less interested in them since AMEX shut down the ability to sign up multiple cards. That’s no excuse to leave free money on the table so I went and looked at the offers, and boy, there were a bunch of them.

I was particularly happy to see so many restaurant offers since Orlando’s Magical Dining Month is approaching and I’ll be able to stack some of these offers with the special pricing available at restaurants we usually don’t visit.

A few reminders:

Here are just some of the offers I found:

Final Thoughts

There is an opportunity cost when redeeming AMEX offers. Depending on which card shows the offer, you may only receive 1 Membership Reward points, 1-2 co-brand program point or 1% back on those purchases. You can use a card that gives maximum rewards for dining and earns 5 ThankYou points, 4 Membership Rewards or 3 Ultimate Rewards per dollar.

However, with most AMEX Offers you’ll be getting 20% to 25% rebates back on your purchases. That’s a way better return than a few extra points which at most would get you around 7% to 10% value if you made a fantastic redemption with them. I’d rather always have some extra cashback and if this is still one of the things AMEX is still willing to give cardholders, I better be taking advantage of it.
