10 Affordable Hotels With Million Dollar Views

by SharonKurheg

For some hotels, it’s all about the view. People will pay hundreds of dollars per night to have a gorgeous view of Paris at night, the red rocks of Sedona, an ocean view in Hawaii, etc. Some people are even willing to pay a little less to get a partial view.

If you go onto the patio of your room and crane your neck to the right, you can see a small window of the ocean

Believe it or not though, there are still some hotels out there that offer budget prices but amazing views. Granted, they won’t always be 5-star resorts, and you probably won’t be able to use points (sorry, y’all), but if you’re price sensitive and still want a view, the hotels listed below will be easy on your wallet but heavy on the, “OMG, would you look at that?!?!”

This boutique hotel, perched high on the Caldera, offers fully self-contained cave villas, cave houses and suites with amazing views. The family-run property is only a 10-minute walk from town. You can snag double rooms for as low as $153.

This pretty, mustard-colored, three-star hotel is in the historic center of Prague, just a few steps from the famous Charles Bridge which is part of the Royal Route – the path along which the medieval Bohemian monarchs paraded on their way to being crowned. Doubles start at $97/night.

More of a bed & breakfast than a hotel, the rooms of this facility overlook some of the most well-known historic landmarks of Rome. Just text the owners before you arrive and they’ll have the keys all ready for you. Doubles start at about $83/night.

Curry Village (a.k.a. Camp Curry, previously Half Dome Village), Yosemite National Park

Sometimes a great view means roughing it. But if you get to see Half Dome from just outside your tent or cabin, it might just be worth it. Curry Village offers 46 Yosemite cabins with private baths, 14 cabins that share a convenient bathhouse, 403 canvas tent cabins and 18 standard motel rooms. Rates start at $103/night.

Fallsview Tower Hotel, Niagara

Fallsview

This hotel on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, has been there since the 1960s. Not all rooms face the falls but the view from the ones that do is amazing. The hotel also boasts an International House of Pancakes on the 27th floor, where you can eat the most important meal of the day while watching six million cubic feet of water fall every minute. Doubles with a view begin at $229.

Hotel Galleria, Venice

This family-run hotel has only 9 rooms that are all decorated in the traditional Venetian style, with damask wallpaper and panache. The building dates back to ‘800 and is located right on the Grand Canal, by the Accademia bridge in the Dorsoduro district. Rooms 5 and 8 are said to have the best views but all of the rooms allow you to see gondolas, vaporettos and water taxis passing by your windows. Doubles start at $176 per night.

Located within walking distance of all of Cairo’s historical and cultural sites, the Pyramids View Hotel offers, “a stunning view of the Great Pyramids and light show from the comfort of your apartment.” They also tout air conditioning and (hot & cold water) living room with an American kitchen and balcony overlooking the Sphinx. Rooms range from $40 to $80 per night.

Z NYC Hotel, New York

If you want sweeping views of NYC, you must be outside Manhattan. The Z Hotel is in Long Island City, in Queens, but it’s only 2 subway stops to Central Park. In playing around on their website, I’ve seen rates as little as $175/per night, and, best of all, every room has a Manhattan view.

Final Thought

If you want to experience breathtaking views without breaking the bank, these budget-friendly hotels are a perfect choice. Whether a charming boutique hotel or a rustic retreat, each offers a unique way to take in the scenery without the steep price tag. Happy travels!

Yowza! What a superb compilation. Thank you so much for coming up with this. It’s exactly what we needed but didn’t know we needed it until you came up with it (hope you know what I mean). Venice looks particularly tempting.
