The “One Stop Shop” Website For Worldwide Airline & Flight Information

a group of logos of airline

If you fly a lot, you probably know a lot about, well, flying. How big your carry on can be, how heavy your checked bag can be, what to do if you need to claim compensation, etc. But what if you don’t fly very often? Or if you’re flying with your kid and they’re taking their clarinet because they’re playing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Or you’re flying on some international airline that *gasp* you’ve never been on before? Or you’re flying in/out of Canada and need to know if you can bring your recreational marijuana with you?

You could Google to get to whatever airline or website it is and search for what you want to know about whatever policies for whichever airline, country, etc. But sometimes the information isn’t as easy to find as you’d like.

Or you could go to this one website that has just about everything, all in one place:

Airline-Baggage-Fees.com

It’s a very basic site – no fancy colors and no bells and whistles. But what it lacks in visual design is more than made up for with all the information that the page is chock full of.

It has links with info about nearly 400 airlines and even a few rail and bus companies.

It also has:

Up-to-date copies of the TSA rules carry-on for:

Up-to-date copies of the CATSA (Canadian Air Transportation Security Authority) security rules for:

An easy to understand flight compensation guide

It offers packing tips, including:

It explains all about sporting equipment as special baggage, including:

It also explains about bringing your musical instruments onto a plane:

I think the site’s only downside is that it doesn’t have direct links to each airline. So you’ll still have to Google that for specifics that Airline-Baggage-Fees.com doesn’t cover, or for information about flight times, etc. But for basic info? I think it’s great and I’ve bookmarked it.
