Starbucks New Promotion Lets You Earn Stars From Home

Starbucks’ Starland promotion launched on March 12th and runs thru April 8th. While not the best timing, giving that Starbucks has now turned most of its U.S. locations into take-out stores only offering pick-up or drive-thru orders, once you start a promo, there are legal requirements that you finish it.

The great thing about Starland is that you never have to step into a Starbucks and buy a coffee to play.

Here are the basics of Starland

While Starland is being hyped as an “augmented reality experience,” it goes back to the Starbucks formula of awarding you an entry for each purchase. I like these promos better than the ones that try to make me change my habits to earn any stars.

With each entry, you pick one of the many stars in the sky. I guess the experience on the phone is AR, but for me, using a desktop, I just moved my mouse around and clicked on a star.

The great thing about this contest is that you can get two entries a day. Starbucks would like you to make two in-store purchases a day. However, you can also get two entries a day by filling out an online form.

The first thing you need to do is register at the Starland website.

You’ll get one entry for registering. Once you’ve used that one up, you’ll get this message:

Ignore that Starbucks is telling you to make a purchase* to earn a play.

Swipe or scroll to the bottom of the page:

Click or tap on the link that says click here.

That will take you to the page where you fill out a form. Starbucks will email you a link that gives you one Starland entry.

You can play twice a day. That includes entries from purchases and online form submission. So if you go to Starbucks once, you can get one extra online entry.

What can you win?

You can win one of these prizes instantly:

If you don’t win an instant prize, you’ll get a raffle ticket. A twist of this promo is that you get to pick which of the five raffles to enter.

It might be more likely to win the less valuable prize but when you’re dealing in a one on a million chance for any of them, why not pick the ones you want the most.

Final Thoughts

There are plenty of instant win prizes up for grabs. I won 25 stars with one of my three entries.

For many of us who are spending much of our time at home, this is an easy win. Just go to the website every day, and it only takes a minute or two to get your two entries.
