Southwest Airlines has reported they are resuming some of their international flights that were discontinued due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Beginning on June 7th, the airline will fly to:
- Cancun, Mexico
- San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos, Mexico
- Havana, Cuba
- Montego Bay, Jamaica
- Nassau, Bahamas
The specific international routes that will be returning are:
- Houston Hobby to Cancun, Mexico, and San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos, Mexico
- Baltimore/Washington to Cancun, Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Nassau, Bahamas
- Denver to Cancun, Mexico, and San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos, Mexico
- Orlando to Montego Bay, Jamaica
- Tampa to Havana, Cuba
The re-introduction of these flights were originally supposed to be staggered, with two of the destinations beginning on May 21 and the other three on June 7. They will now all begin on June 7.
On October 8, Phoenix International Airport will begin flights to San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos, Mexico, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
As of this writing, all other international flights on Southwest remain on hold.
