U.S. & U.K. Top Ten “Wish List” Destinations During The Pandemic

If there are 2 things a lot of us have been doing during the pandemic, it’s mourning the losses of the travels we canceled, and daydreaming of where we’d like to go once we feel it’s safe to travel.

Booking.com kept track of all the 100,000 different destinations 2,000,000 of us in the U.S. and U.K. looked at while we were stuck at home, and compiled them. Here’s what they saw:

United Kingdom

Brits like to travel internationally. According to Booking.com, their top 10 wish list destinations for outside the U.K. are:

Booking.com also compared the Brits’ wish lists between March and April 2020 to the same months in 2019. The data suggested that sightseeing, shopping and going to the beach are some of the experiences they’re looking forward to the most.

United States

71% of people from the U.S. were searching for domestic destinations. Of course, seeing international borders shut down may have something to do with that. In fact, during the same time last year, only 58% of Americans were looking for U.S.-based destinations. Anyway, the top 10 wish list domestic wish list destinations for people in the U.S. are:

In looking at all of the cities mentioned, it seemed that Americans were hoping to visit beaches, culture, nature and city walks. That seems to be pretty much the same as always. We’re so predictable ;-).
