Starting on June 29th, American Express launched the newest version of its Shop Small promotion. This time, cardholders are able to get a $5 credit for spending $10 or more at a small business. You can use the offer up to 10 times, so it’s possible to earn $50 in credits. You have until September 20th to make your purchases.
However, there were two caveats. You had to enroll your card through the AMEX Offers part of the website or app (so you can only use it on one card if you have multiple AMEX cards) and you needed to enroll by July 26th.
While I wrote about the offer and signed up one of my AMEX cards, I forgot to sign up one of Sharon’s cards for the promotion.
Fortunately, AMEX is showing some leniency for those who procrastinated or just didn’t know about the offer. The enrollment date has been extended until August 23rd.
So if you’re like me and forgot to sign up one of your cards, better do it now while it’s on your mind. While you’re at it, scroll through the other AMEX Offers as new ones have been dropping onto the list all the time.
