“Well Known” Pastor Urinated On Woman While On Delta Flight

by SharonKurheg

A woman reports that as she woke up on a red-eye flight, a man later identified as a “well-known North Carolina pastor” was allegedly peeing on her.

Alicia Beverly, a Detroit resident, says the incident happened on a Delta flight from Las Vegas to Detroit on October 12th.

She told Fox News Detroit that she was in the back of the plane, next to her sister. She had fallen asleep but suddenly woke up to a strange feeling.

She said, “It felt warm, like on the side of me I felt something warm.”

As the drowsy woman woke up a little more, she saw something she was not expecting.

“I jump up and I seen his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up,” said Beverly. “By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!”

Not surprisingly, she then screamed, which got everyone’s attention. One of the other passengers was an off-duty police officer. He quickly came to the back of the plane and restrained the man, who has so far only been identified as a “well-known pastor from North Carolina.”

Beverly, who said she was grateful for the offer’s intervention, reported she had to sit in her wet clothes for several hours before landing in Detroit.

The man was taken into custody when the plane landed and charges against him are pending.

People close to the pastor said he had a reaction to a sleeping aid and didn’t do it on purpose.

As the incident happened in the air, the FBI will be handling the case. They have not yet announced how they plan to pursue the matter.

As a well known pastor, I’m sure that he’s completely innocent in this grotesque crime and in recognition of his sterling character, all charges will be dropped while the woman can deal with the psychological trauma for years. Then again, maybe I’m wrong and justice could be done, but rich, powerful, or well connected men rarely face serious consequences for their actions. I hope he’s not part of the “personal responsibility” crowd or that’s tantamount to him asking for a lengthy jail term for himself.

@ Christian — Chill with the attack. People do sleepwalk, especially if they combine Ambien and alcohol. Why would someone do such a thing on purpose?

Maybe you’re right. I’ll try to step off my soapbox but it just grinds my gears that women seem to be on the receiving end of crap like this all the time while there are few to no repercussions for the guy -it’s always a guy- doing the harm. As to it possibly being on purpose, I’m not sure I’d care to speculate.

This doesn’t seem like an intentional assault, but men and women both have plenty of blame in assaults on airplanes… This isn’t just a male problem. If you’ve seen any of the articles lately about fights on airplanes since COVID, it has mostly been female vs female.

Agree with the sentiment that men, especially rich and powerful ones, should be held accountable, especially when it comes to sexual (or other) assaults with women, but this seems like a separate issue.

I would think that the man was in a sleep fog or dreaming and didn’t intentionally urinate on the passenger. I thought Delta only assigned seats with an empty seat between every passenger. Only if it is an agreeing traveling companion. Three across is unlikely.

Uh, maybe he was as high as a kite or inebriated because he has a problem. Hope not, but it reads fishy. And, please correct the spelling error. It does not help these kinds of online reports or any reports for that matter. Regardless, sad occurrence all the way around.

While Ambien can cause bizarre sleepwalking behavior. But, they are generally not things you don’t want to do… So, if he’d been awake he would have wanted to pee on the woman but would have stopped himself.
It doesn’t say that he took Ambien, but I’d like to point out that Ambien is not an effective sleep aid, and extremely dangerous. A lot of people who take it spend most of the night sleepless, but since Ambien causes memory loss, later don’t remember the sleepless night and think they slept through the night, and just wonder why they feel so groggy. This has been confirmed in a bunch of studies.
In combination with alcohol, Ambien can be deadly even in relatively small doses, so combining the two in incredibly dangerous. No sleep is worth taking this medication. There are far better sleep aids out there.

A “sleeping aid”? I know one of mu friends used to always sleep walk and relieve himself when he’d had one too many cocktails… Could his “sleep aid” have been a few shots before getting on the plane?

I get that he (most likely) didn’t do this on purpose… But this is unacceptable behavior, and if this is a known condition, then he should not have slept in the flight or used the sleep aid, and he should be prepared to pay handsomely for damages.

Oof I’m flying Delta in December, better make sure not to fall asleep. Fortunately it’s only a two hour flight.

If he took something like Ambian with alcohol. He was in a dream state or fog. A colleague of mine took Ambian and had alcoholic beverage. The next morning the hotel staff told her that she was walking around the lobby nude and they showed her on camera to prove it to her.

I am in the travel industry and seen a lot of crazy things happening when you mix thing’s. With my experience on the plane and off with people mixing the two. I really think that he thought that he was in a bathroom.

I used to take ambien and one morning I woke up and I noticed the blender out and sugar spilled all over the counter and full bag of frozen strawberries out. I had gotten up and made a smoothie in the middle of the night and didn’t even know it. I thought someone broke into my home. It sounds crazy but the blender was in the sink. I put it together. Weird stuff.
