Why You Should Consider The JetBlue Plus Card’s 100,000 Point SIgn Up Bonus

by joeheg

If you live in a city that JetBlue services, you should consider getting the JetBlue Plus co-brand credit card from Barclays. I’ve written about how I think this card is worth the $99 annual fee.

I jumped at this card when it offered a 60,000 point sign-up bonus. So there’s no way I’m not going to recommend people on the fence to get the card now that you can earn 100,000 True Blue points.

The JetBlue Plus and JetBlue Business cards are both offering 100,000 points if you meet the spending requirements.

While you can still find the former offer for 60,000 points for spending $1,000 in 90 days, the new offer gives 50,000 points for spending $1,000 in 90 days and another 50,000 points after spending $6,000 within the first 12 months. Both offers require you to pay the $99 annual fee.

JetBlue TrueBlue points are worth about 1.4 cents each, so this increased sign-up bonus is worth up to $1.400. That’s a great value considering it only requires spending $500 a month on the card for a year. That’s a low amount compared to the spending requirements for other co-brand airline cards.

Jetblue Points are worth .07-.08 each and not a penny more. You cannot book BlueBasic on JB points so to me they are crap.
