I first saw a sign for Thanks Again when I was in line at Earl of Sandwich at a rest stop on the Florida Turnpike. Never one to pass up free points, I tried to figure out the program while waiting. It took a little longer than my wait in line to sign up for the program, but I’ve been earning points, here and there, ever since. While I thought these points would be worthless at first, it turns out it’s not difficult to earn enough points for a modest reward.

Signing Up For The Program
Thanks Again is an app-based program that has versions available for Apple and Android devices. Signing up for the program is easy, as you only need to provide your name, email and zip code.
After that, the program works much like a dining rewards program. You need to provide your credit card number to Thanks Again and any eligible purchase made with that card will earn points. These points will be in addition to any other points you would earn for purchases, like the 3x points you’ll earn for using your Sapphire Reserve for dining expenses. The main difficulty for me is making sure I have all my cards registered. Luckily, Thanks Again lets you register all your cards (unless you have more than 99 cards).
Earning Points
Other airports have better choices. You can earn points at Tortas Frontera at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport:
Using Points
Previously, the Thanks Again program allowed you to transfer points to travel loyalty programs, but it looks like that option is no longer available. You now have a decent number of gift cards you can redeem points for, including several travel-related brands like Uber, Southwest, American, Delta and Hotels.com. If you’d prefer to redeem points for coffee, you can choose from Dunkin and Starbucks.
Final Thoughts
Thanks Again is a loyalty program that works like a rotisserie. You just set it up and forget it. I’ve never gone out of my way to visit a Thanks Again merchant but I’ve been pleasantly surprised when I get points for my breakfast burrito, or my Dunkin Donuts coffee, or a drink from the only airport bar past security in Chattanooga, TN while waiting on a delayed plane.

Has anyone got miles via ThanksAgain in recent times? I’ve been waiting 10 weeks for the miles to show up in my registered FF account since ThanksAgain points are automatically redeemed when you earn them (or so they tell me). The ThanksAgain customer service has just been giving me a runaround instead of admitting that it’s a fraud. The airline tells me to contact ThanksAgain. Lovely!
