Peloton Credit For Chase Sapphire Cards Running Out? Change To These Cards For 2022.

In January 2021, Chase added a Peloton Credit to the Sapphire cards. Sapphire Preferred members received a $60 credit and Sapphire Reserve members received $120. While that wasn’t much of a benefit if you wanted to purchase a bike (if you could even get one), it paid for a good deal of a yearly subscription to Peloton’s online classes.

Since the online membership only costs $12.99 a month, I was able to get almost 1 year of classes with the $120 credit from the Sapphire Reserve. However, the credit was used up in December and from here on out, I’d have to pay full price for the lessons.

While I’m not sure if the classes are worth more than other online fitness options, you may be looking for a way to meet your New Year’s resolution to drop a few pounds and get into better shape. Maybe you want to drop that pandemic 20 pounds before returning to the office, whenever that might be.

Whatever way you’re looking to get into shape, there are several ways to save money on those gym memberships or fitness programs in 2022.

For the first three months of 2022, Discover is offering 5% cashback on fitness clubs and gym memberships.

Grocery stores are also a bonus category if you’re planning on eating more healthy meals at home instead of eating out as much. If you have a Discover card, make sure to activate the offer for January-March 2022 at this link.

If you don’t have a Discover card, there’s another card that provides a bonus for getting healthy.

The World of Hyatt Visa pays 2x WoH points for expenses at fitness clubs and gym memberships. This makes sense since Hyatt values the well-being of its guests as one of its priorities.

Since Hyatt points are worth more than 1 cent each, it makes sense to earn two points instead of 2% cashback if you have any interest in staying at a Hyatt. However, you’ll have to decide if you value a Hyatt point worth more than 2.5 cents, as that’s what you’d give up putting that spending on the WoH Visa instead of a Discover card for the first three months of 2022.

Whatever your fitness goals are for 2022, might as well earn as many points or cashback as you can.
