If any hotel group defines aspirational stays, it’s Aman. The ultra-luxury brand has many unbelievable properties all around the globe, with most of the portfolio focused on Asia.
I’ve read reviews of people who’ve stayed at their resorts and while I would love to stay there, the checkbook isn’t in agreement. So imagine my surprise when I received an email from Club 1 Hotels, saying they’re offering discounts to stay at Aman properties.
I’ve previously written about Club 1 Hotels and how they’re one of the only places offering discounted Walt Disney World hotels.
Disney is one thing but discounts at Aman properties??? I had to check on how large of a discount they offered.
I wasn’t going to search all of the Amans worldwide, so I picked one that’s relatively close to us on the eastern side of the US. Avoiding the US properties, I picked Amanyara, located in Turks and Caicos.
I searched for 3 nights in November 2022 in an Ocean Pavillion room because if I’m ever going to splurge to stay at an Aman, it’s not going to be for a base-level room.
First, I checked the Aman website. Here’s the price they quoted me.
20K for three nights after taxes and fees. Now I have a baseline and know why I’m probably never going to stay at an Aman.
I went to Club 1 Hotels website and searched for the same room on the same dates.
That’s a $1,500 savings. Considering that’s just a rounding error to most people staying at an Aman, that’s still a 7.5% savings over the rack rate.
I could have stopped there, but there are other luxury hotel programs out there. My next stop was the Chase Luxury Hotel and Resorts website, accessible with my Sapphire Reserve.
The price was about $200 cheaper than Club 1 Hotels but it includes full breakfast daily, a spa service credit and possible upgrade, early check-in and late check out if available.
Why stop there? We’ve booked luxury hotels with Virtuoso before, why not see what discounts or upgrades they offer.
The rate is almost $2,000 cheaper than Chase LHR’s price and comes with the following benefits.
In addition, can we collectively ask why a hotel that charges $5,000 a night doesn’t include Wi-Fi?
I don’t know how many of you are looking to stay at an uber-luxury resort. But if you are, there are several discounts out there to save money that you can spend during your Aman stay.
For me, I’ll go back to looking how to save money booking our next stay at a Best Western.

There are no Wi-Fi charges at any Amanresort.
Amanresorts has its own packages that are effectively “discounted” because they include guaranteed upgrades (and other things), and I suspect that you could reproduce these prices which book into this level room, at the same or lower price with one of those.
