It’s unusual to see anything on the internet that lasts longer than a TikTok or Facebook Reel. The rule is that if the information can’t be packaged into a 45-second video, people don’t care.
I don’t believe that, which is why we still write a blog. I also watch Youtube clips of interviews that last longer than 2 minutes. That’s how I found this video of when Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and talked for 12 minutes about all things transportation.
He briefly mentioned how the recent infrastructure bill would help improve many of the nation’s airports. However, a longer section talked about passenger rail in the United States. When pressed why train travel here is worse than in many other countries, his reply was “You get what you pay for.” Speak those facts, Mayor Pete.
