We’ve been on a trend of re-discovering New Braunfels, TX, a place we’ve been visiting for years. There are several reasons why we’ve been trying new locations. Our trips have gotten a bit longer so we have more time to be adventurous. In addition, the area has been expanding rapidly, bringing many new places to try. Finally, our tastes and preferences have matured and so have the places we like to visit.
We are by no means beer experts. Over time, we’ve learned what we like and tend to stick to those items. We’ve also found that breweries can be a nice place to spend a relaxing evening, as they’ll usually have food options.
On our first night in New Braunfels, we were looking for a casual place to relax and get into vacation mode. This fits the bill nicely.
Guadalupe Brewing Company
1586 Wald Rd
New Braunfels, TX 78132
They have several beers available. So many that they have them divided between two onsite taprooms.
One of the main draws of Guadalupe Brewing (besides the beer) are the multiple outdoor spaces.
We grabbed a picnic table and enjoyed the pleasant Texas evening air with a few beers.
The food options are several types of pizzas and sandwiches. The line was quite long the day we visited.
Guadalupe Brewing Company is open Wednesday-Sunday with live music on Friday-Sunday. It was a great place to spend a few hours and we’ll try to get back on one of our next trips.

If you are still here, check out Chapeline Distillery in Bulverde and Ranch Brands in Wimberley.
Thanks for the tips. We won’t be back in the area again until next summer but I’ll keep them in mind.
