Back in 2012, JetBlue and LOT Polish Airlines, Poland‘s flag carrier, announced what was then a new interline partnership that allowed their respective customers to seamlessly book connections through JetBlue’s home at New York‘s John F. Kennedy International Airport and LOT’s hub at Warsaw‘s Chopin Airport.
That relationship eventually ended. However according to Polish financial and business website, money.pl, the two airlines are apparently now planning to give their interline agreement another try.
LOT Polish Airlines’ President, Rafał Milczarski, recently met with Polish journalists at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York. During the meeting, Milczarski announced that the European carrier and JetBlue were preparing to restart an interline agreement that will allow passengers to connect trips throughout both operators’ respective networks with the other’s, on a single ticket.
Specific details of when the relationship will officially begin were not offered, and neither JetBlue nor LOT mention the agreement on their respective websites at this time.
LOT, a member of the Star Alliance, has codesharing agreements with 23 other airlines, including United Airlines.
