“Immersive Van Gogh” Producer Partnering With Disney For New Project

by SharonKurheg

Throughout much of 2021 and 2022, a traveling show called “Immersive Van Gogh” made its way around the country.

The for-profit events have been typically set up in large gallery spaces. Images or videos of Van Gogh’s works have been projected onto walls, ceilings, and floors, sometimes accompanied by animations, narrations, music, or fragrances.

There were actually several immersive Van Gogh experiences, held throughout the world. In the U.S., you could typically find “Imagine Van Gogh: The Immersive Exhibition”, the “Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit”, “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience”, “Van Gogh Alive”, and “Beyond Van Gogh.”

One of the more successful immersive Van Gogh presenters was Lighthouse Immersive Studios. On the heels of their Immersive Van Gogh experience, they introduced other experiences in select cities, including:

  • Immersive Monet & The Impressionists (Boston, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, Nashville)
  • Immersive Nutcracker (Boston, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Phoenix, San Antonio)
  • Immersive King Tut (Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix)
  • Immersive Deepak Chopra (Los Angeles)
  • The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience (Minneapolis)
  • Le Musk Toronto (Toronto)

Lighthouse Immersive Studios has now partnered with the Walt Disney Company, with a brand new immersive experience called Disney Animation Immersive Experience, where you can surround yourself with the world, music and stories of Disney animation.

Imagine taking a magic carpet ride with Aladdin. Or flying with Peter Pan around London. You could step into a brightly lit casita with Mirabel and the family Madrigal from “Encanto.” Or you could be at Pride Rock as Rafiki presents Simba.

Disney Animation Immersive Experience will be shown in Boston, Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, San Antonio and Toronto.

Individual tickets start at $35.99 per adult (depending on location, date and time), although Family Packs and Group Tickets are available, as well.
