Hilton’s first promo for 2023 offers double points.
YAWN!
To be honest, double points are “table stakes” for Hilton promotions. They’ve offered double points for so long that anything less would probably be considered a devaluation.
However, the Hilton “Double Up and Explore” promotion has an interesting twist. Each time you stay with a different Hilton brand, you’ll earn an additional 1,000 Hilton Honors points.
I value Hilton points at 1/2 cent each, so that’s a $5 bonus for each different brand. I’m sure to sign up for this promotion because we have a Hilton stay planned between now and April 30th, and I’m not going to pass up double base points. However, this isn’t going to cause me to shift any of my stays to Hilton for the extra points.

Hilton’s promotions haven’t been exciting and I can’t see people moving stays to Hilton to get an extra 1,000 points for staying at a different brand. But you’d be foolish not to sign up for the double points, which is the norm for Hilton promotions.
