Bilt Rewards has been on a roll with its Rent Day promotion. Since October 2022, Bilt members have had a unique opportunity on the first of the month, which is the day most people pay rent.
The offers so far have been:
- October – 2-for-1 cruise with Virgin Voyages
- November – United status challenge
- December – 100% bonus on point transfers to IHG One Rewards
- January – Trivia Challenge with a chance to win up to 600 points
- February – 100% bonus on point transfers to HawaiianMiles
- March – 50% bonus on using points for Amazon.com
April’s offer is status with World of Hyatt. No, this isn’t an April Fools’ prank.
Through April 1st, Bilt Rewards members can register for 90 days of Hyatt Explorist status good through July 16th. You can earn Explorist status through February 28th, 2025 by staying 10 qualifying nights during that period. You can also get top-tier Globalist status by staying 20 nights during the promotional period.
You only need a free Bilt Rewards account to sign up for this offer. You do not need to have the Bilt Mastercard.
It’s been confirmed that revenue and stays on points count to meet the requirements. Essentially, if a stay counts as a Hyatt tier-qualifying night, it will count for the promotion.
As soon as I read this, I thought about what being a Hyatt Globalist would be like. Benefits include hotel upgrades (including suites), club access and complimentary breakfast. Staying 20 nights in 3 months to get arguably the best hotel status you can earn is a tempting offer.
I’m figuring out if spending the money or points for rooms we don’t need to earn status makes sense. However, I don’t have to decide yet as the promotion window doesn’t start until April 17th.
What I needed to do was sign up for the promotion by April 1st, 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
You can register with the Bilt app and it takes a few steps.
- Update to the newest version of the Bilt app.
- Link your Bilt Rewards and World of Hyatt accounts (if you haven’t done so already.)
- On the “Rent Day” tab, complete registration for the promotion.
Once complete, you’ll receive this message.
Shortly after, I got an email confirming my World of Hyatt status request.
While I might not try to earn Explorist or Globalist status, we have 3 nights planned at Hyatt hotels during the promotion period. I’ll get to see what difference it is being an Explorist from my current Discoverist status.
Then I’ll need an additional 7 or 17 nights to keep the status until February 2025.
