It’s time to check your Chase cards because they have targeted some co-brand accounts with bonus spending offers.
Chase is slow to send emails about these offers and since the last batch ended on March 31st, I checked to see if any new ones were in the system. The new ones are active as of April 1st.
The first offer was for our IHG Rewards Premier card.
We can earn 7X IHG One Rewards points at gas stations and restaurants and 5X points at grocery stores on the first $1,500 in combined purchases across all categories.
We also received a spending offer for our legacy IHG Rewards Select card.
If we spend $3,000 on the card in the next three months, we’ll get an extra 5,000 IHG points.
Pass.
I found a third offer on my Southwest Priority card.
This offer is for 5X Southwest Rapid Rewards points on the first $1,500 spent at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants. I will take advantage of this offer as I value Southwest points at 1.3 cents each (whereas IHG points are worth 0.5 cents each.) That’s a 6.5% return.
I received no offers for our Disney, Marriott or Hyatt cards.
I’ll check again in a few days as Chase has staggered adding offers in the past, and it only takes a minute or two to check. And while I keep looking, I’ve never received a bonus offer for our Ultimate Rewards earning cards.
If you’d rather not wait for an email, you can check your cards by going to https://www.chase.com/mybonus and entering your last name, the last 4 digits of your account, and zip code.
Final Thoughts
Your situation will determine if any of these offers make sense for you. The Southwest card offer is appealing because I don’t have another card with a better offer for gas stations and grocery stores.
