There was plenty of commotion when Bilt Rewards offered World Of Hyatt Explorist status to all of its members, and the opportunity to extend that status or upgrade to Globalist, until 2025.
I’m happy to report that my Explorist status is showing for my account.
While that means I’ll be able to take advantage of the perks of an Explorist, it doesn’t mean my stays will count toward earning status with the Bilt offer, yet.
According to the fine print, members who stay a specified number of nights during the trial elite status period (between April 17 and July 16) will have their World of Hyatt elite status extended through February 2025.
- Complete 10 qualifying nights during the trial period to keep Explorist status through February 2025.
- Complete 20 qualifying nights during the trial period to earn Globalist status through February 2025.
And while your status has been activated early, which was what happened with the United promotion, don’t expect stays before April 17th to count as qualifying stays to earn stays until 2025.
If you’re trying to earn Hyatt status with this promotion, don’t get excited that your temporary status was posted earlier than expected. Stays before April 17th shouldn’t count towards the challenge requirement.
I’m still deciding if I want to mattress run to meet the stay requirements to keep Explorist or Globalist status until 2024. I’m not sure, but I’m interested to see what benefits I’ll receive as an Explorist on our upcoming stay at a Grand Hyatt
Since we don’t often visit Hyatt resorts, this is the best brand we’d normally visit and if the experience isn’t massively better, there’s no sense in trying to stay an Explorist or Globalist.
I might change my mind.
