Bert Kreischer is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host and actor. In 1997, he was featured in an article in Rolling Stone while attending Florida State University. The magazine named Kreischer (then in his 6th year at the school) the “top partier at the Number One Party School in the country.”
Kreischer’s nickname is “The Machine.” He earned it when he inadvertently helped the Russian mafia rob a train while on a college trip to Russia. Here’s how he’s describes what happened: (Note: video is NSFW – adult language & situations)
It’s been over 25 years since he got that moniker, but Kreischer, now 50, is still on the road, doing comedy (well, when he’s not starring in a movie, called The Machine, based on his story about the Russian mafia. The film also stars Mark Hamill and Jimmy Tatro).
Since he had to travel from city to city, Kreischer stays at a lot of hotels. And, like many comedians, Kreischer’s sense of creativity and humor doesn’t end when he gets off the stage. So to keep things interesting for himself on the road, Bert used to leave what’s been described as “creepy” and “disturbing” “terrifying towel tableaus” for his hotel housekeepers.
Of course, these “gifts” aren’t your typical towel swans or elephants. Here’s how he described them, complete with photos, on Conan O’Brien’s show a couple of years ago (Note: video is NSFW – adult language):
He apparently doesn’t do his “terrifying towel tableaus” anymore. Hotel staff must be relieved…or disappointed. 😉
