Bilt Rewards has a special Rent Day promotion that takes place on the first of every month, offering exclusive perks to its cardholders. As a Bilt member, you can participate in trivia games, and contests for free rent payments, and receive bonuses that vary each month. These bonuses have included status offers from United and Hyatt, transfer bonuses to several hotel and airline partners, as well as bonuses with Lyft and Amazon. The best part is that becoming a Bilt Rewards member is completely free – all you need to do is sign up.
There’s usually only one offer per month, but for January 1, 2024, Bilt Rewards is bringing back THREE previous transfer bonuses. And this time, depending on your Bilt Rewards status level, the offer is even better than before.
Transfer Bonuses
On January 1st, Bilt Rewards will offer transfer bonuses to these three loyalty programs.
- Flying Blue (KLM/Air France)
- Virgin Points
- IHG One Rewards
Bilt Rewards members will receive different transfer bonuses depending on their status level:
- Blue – 75% bonus
- Silver – 100% bonus
- Gold – 125% bonus
- Platinum – 150% bonus
When Bilt had a transfer bonus offer for IHG One Rewards in December 2022 and Flying Blue in May 2023, they provided a flat 100% bonus to all members. However, the Virgin Points promotion in August 2023 offered a tiered bonus setup. If you’re a Gold or Platinum member, this is the best offer you’ve seen for IHG or Flying Blue.
Lyft Bonus
Lyft has formed a partnership with Bilt Rewards, which allows you to earn Bilt points for your Lyft rides by linking your accounts. In my opinion, this partnership with Bilt is superior to Lyft’s other partners, Delta and Hilton, and is where I choose to credit my rides.
On January 1st, Bilt Rewards is offering a $5 Lyft credit to all members. To claim the credit you have to go to the Bilt app on the 1st and register. The $5 credit is good for 90 days.
Bilt Mastercard Bonuses
Besides offers for all members, Bilt also adds extra bonuses for members who have the Bilt Mastercard.
As usual, the monthly double points offer has returned.
- 6 points per dollar for dining expenses
- 4 points per dollar for travel expenses
- 2 points per dollar for all other purchases (except rent)
There’s also an offer for a 50% bonus if you use your Bilt points to make purchases on Amazon. This isn’t a great use for your points, even with a 50% bonus.
Final Thought
The Bilt Rewards program, when combined with the Bilt Mastercard, has emerged as a highly dynamic product in the market. The industry-leading Rent Day promotions, with their unique partnership offers, have been providing transfer bonuses, status challenges, and even cruise deals. However, the upcoming offer for January 1st, 2024, is a game-changer, with three different partners offering transfer bonuses of up to 150%. What’s more, even a 75% bonus for all members is unheard of, as other banks typically require cardholders to have a premium card to transfer points to partners.
