Marriott Vacations Worldwide submitted plans to build a timeshare community outside Walt Disney World. The new resort is in the World Gateway development, which is very close to the Orlando World Center Marriott, the world’s largest Marriott. While this new resort isn’t part of the World Center complex, its proximity and how the properties can work together are undisputable. According to Growthspotter:
A site plan from civil engineer Kimley-Horn indicates that the Marriott-branded timeshare community, called Gateway Vista, will have a total of 225 units, including 5 studios, 124 two-bedrooms, and 80 two-bedrooms with lock-off.
The remaining 16 units are proposed to be located in three separate “lake house” buildings situated by a proposed water feature. The latest plans represent a smaller version of what was originally proposed for the site, as a previous application from July of last year requested the allocation of 300 timeshare units on the same parcel.
Several other Marriott Vacations timeshare resorts in Central Florida are popular with families looking for a hotel where they can spend time on the days when they’re not visiting the themeparks. Availability at the other resorts has become scarce, so having a new resort is a plus for those looking for a place to use Marriott Bonvoy points.
It is not clear which Marriott Vacations brand the new resort belongs to. The brands include Marriott Vacation Club, Westin, Hyatt, Sheraton, Grand Residences, St. Regis, and Ritz Carlton. The property owner hasn’t commented based on a confidentiality agreement with the developer.

Interesting. I’m pretty sure that Hyatt isn’t a Marriott timeshare brand, could be worth correcting that (unless I’m missing something – Is Marriott bonvoying Hyatt now!?).
Yes. Hyatt Vacation Club is one of the brands under the Marriott Vacations portfolio. Hyatt Vacation Club is part of Hyatt Vacation Ownership (HVO), which develops, markets, and manages shared ownership resort properties and is a business unit of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (MVW), a leading global vacation company that offers vacation ownership, exchange, rental and resort and property management, along with related businesses, products, and services. https://www.hyattvacationclub.com/home
