If you’ve been earning bonus points with Chase when riding Lyft, good news—your rides will keep racking up rewards for a while longer.
Back in 2020, Chase and Lyft teamed up to give Chase cardmembers extra perks when using their cards to pay for Lyft rides. The partnership was initially set to expire in March 2022 but was extended once already through March 2025. Now, just as that deadline was approaching, Chase and Lyft have announced another extension: the partnership will now run through September 2027.
Here’s what you get with each card:
Chase Sapphire Reserve®
-
5x total points on Lyft rides.
-
$10 monthly Lyft credit through September 2027.
Note: Any unused credit expires at the end of each month.
J.P. Morgan Reserve®
-
The same benefits as Sapphire Reserve: 5x points and $10 monthly Lyft credit through September 2027.
Chase Sapphire Preferred®
-
Earn 5x total points on Lyft rides.
Chase Freedom Family (Freedom, Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Rise, Freedom Student)
-
Earn 2% total cash back on Lyft rides.
Chase Ink Business Cards:
-
Ink Business Unlimited®, Ink Business Cash®, Ink Cash®, Ink Business Premier®:
Earn 5% total cash back on Lyft rides. -
Ink Business Preferred® and Ink Plus®:
Earn 5x total points on Lyft rides.
Don’t forget—points stack!
Even if you’re not using a Chase card, you can still earn rewards with programs like:
- Hilton Honors
- Alaska Mileage Plan
- Bilt Rewards
These programs reward you just for linking your Lyft account, regardless of how you pay.
But if you are using a Chase Ultimate Rewards card, you’re essentially double-dipping—earning points with Chase and your linked rewards program.
Final Thoughts
If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, that $10 monthly Lyft credit is a great perk to reduce your out-of-pocket cost on rides you might take anyway. Combine that with 5x points and the ability to transfer Ultimate Rewards to travel partners? That’s a solid deal that turns every ride into a points-generating machine.
Whether heading to the airport, out for brunch or commuting to a meeting, it’s now a little more rewarding to call a Lyft through September 2027.
Not sure if your Chase card qualifies? Log in to your Chase account or check your card’s benefits to see if you’re eligible for Lyft rewards. And if you haven’t linked your Chase card to your Lyft account yet—now’s the time to do it and start earning more on every ride.
