Note: This post contains useful information about a large-scale upcoming event that is based in politics. It’s meant as a way for our readers to plan their travels this Saturday and is not political commentary. We don’t care which side of the political fence you lean on, who you voted for, or what you think of any government entity. Politically charged comments to this post will not be approved.
Part of the First Amendment, which covers the freedom of speech, is the right to peacefully assemble, which includes protests. Upwards of three million Americans took part in such peaceful protests on April 5th, during the Hands Off National Day of Action.
It appears that two other large-scale mobilizations will take place later on this week.
Grassroots volunteer organization Fifty Fifty One (a.k.a. 50501 – short for 50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement) and May Day Strong are both hosting events -oftentimes multiple events – in every state throughout the country this Thursday, May 1st.
Just like the April 5th protests, these are planned to be non-violent demonstrations throughout the country to protest the actions of current U.S. government leaders.
Again, we don’t care how you feel about the current state of the United States. However, we do want our readers to know that, as of this writing, protests will affect one or more cities in every state in the country.
Plan accordingly
If you’re planning on being out and about that day – perhaps as a visitor, perhaps as a local – you may want to check and see where demonstrations will be taking place, so you can plan your day accordingly.
There are currently nearly 400 protests planned for the U.S. that day. Organizers are keeping track and are continually updating the list as more demonstrations are planned and solidified for May 1st. To help with planning your own travel, you can view the list here. You can also use their interactive map to determine where protests will be occurring.
Again, plan accordingly.
To reiterate, this post is intended as a guide for our readers to plan their travels this Saturday and is not a political commentary. We don’t care which side of the political fence you lean on, who you voted for, or what you think of any government entity. Politically charged comments to this post will not be approved.

Thanks for the valuable info!
FWIW: most of the protests appear to be happening on Saturday 5/3.
