Chase has notified cardholders of the personal and business versions of the World of Hyatt Credit Card about an upcoming change that will remove a hidden bonus category.
While many travelers may not have realized it, cardholders have continued to earn 4X Hyatt points on purchases with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and Lindblad Expeditions, even after Hyatt’s partnerships with both companies ended.
- Hyatt’s partnership with SLH officially ended on May 15, 2024, as SLH moved to a new partnership with Hilton Honors. However, Chase has continued to award World of Hyatt cardholders 4 Bonus Points per dollar at participating SLH locations. Originally, this was only supposed to last through August 31, 2024. Source
- The Lindblad Expeditions partnership ended at the end of 2023, but Chase extended elevated earnings on those purchases as well. Shortly after the announcement, AwardWallet confirmed with Chase that World of Hyatt credit cardholders would earn elevated points on Lindblad bookings through June 1, 2024.
Despite the partnerships ending, these earnings remained active long after the collaborations concluded. However, even those last remnants are now being phased out.
Effective August 28, 2025, both SLH and Lindblad purchases made with a World of Hyatt credit card will earn just 1X point per dollar—the standard rate for non-bonus spending.
Final Thought
If you’ve continued to use your World of Hyatt credit card to pay SLH or Lindblad and appreciated the extra Hyatt points, those days are numbered. After August 27, 2025, neither brand will receive any bonus treatment on Hyatt cards. It’s a niche change, but one worth noting—especially if you had any final high-end adventures planned.
