There’s a quiet but welcome improvement coming to the Fidelity® Rewards Visa Signature® Card — and it makes a good 2% cash back card even better.
By the end of August 2025, Fidelity will eliminate the 2,500-point redemption minimum for cash back or statement credit redemptions. Instead of needing to wait until you’ve accrued enough points, cardholders enrolled in Auto-Redeem will receive the full value of their points every month, with no threshold required.
That’s a nice improvement in flexibility, especially for those who prefer to keep things on autopilot and don’t want to meet a $25 minimum.
The Fidelity Card Was Already a Strong Option
The Fidelity card is one of our favorite no-annual-fee cards that earns a flat 2% cash back. It’s ideal for those who value simplicity — there are no rotating categories, caps, or hoops to jump through.
In fact, it’s often underrated despite having surprisingly good benefits, especially considering it doesn’t cost a dime to keep in your wallet.
More recently, Fidelity also enhanced the card’s travel perks, adding things like trip cancellation protection and rental car insurance — features rarely seen on no-fee cards.
Final Thought
Fidelity didn’t need to make this change, but it did. Removing the redemption minimum and issuing cash back monthly makes an already easy-to-use card even more user-friendly. If you’re looking for a true 2% cash back card without an annual fee, this one continues to deserve a spot on your shortlist.
