TSA PreCheck Offering BOGO For Limited Time

by SharonKurheg

Over the years, the TSA has been pushing PreCheck more and more. It’s admittedly a convenient way to save time at the TSA security checkpoint. But, of course, the more people who have PreCheck, the longer the PreCheck lines have become (to the point that TSA changed how they advertised the program to not make PreCheck queues not sound as bad as they was becoming).

To that end, TSA has launched a BOGO offer for PreCheck. From TSA:

For a limited time, enroll in TSA PreCheck and get $15 off the second enrollment when two people sign up together through authorized enrollment provider, IDEMIA.

Of course, to most people in the U.S., BOGO typically means “Buy One Get One free,” but in its true definition of the term, it actually means “a sales promotion in which an item is offered free or at a reduced price when another item is purchased at full price.” TSA is apparently going for the latter.

Anyway, here’s more info about the promo:

From now until October 31, travelers can enroll in TSA PreCheck and get back $15 from the second enrollment for a family member, friend or anyone (Important Note: it doesn’t have to just be a family member, you just have to mention the family discount to qualify) when they sign up together through TSA’s authorized enrollment provider, IDEMIA.

Larger families or groups can save even more. For example, a family/group of four, six, eight, etc. signing up at the same time can save, respectively, $30, $45, $60, etc. (TSA PreCheck enrollment provided by IDEMIA costs $76.75 and covers five years of membership).

There are, of course, a few caveats:

  • The offer is only available to first-time customers. Renewals are not eligible (well, darn!).
  • Customers must enroll at the same IDEMIA enrollment location, on the same day, at the same time.

“For over 12 years, we’ve proudly enrolled travelers in TSA PreCheck, the gold standard in airport efficiency. With families benefiting tremendously from TSA PreCheck, and personally witnessing the stress of traveling with family firsthand, we are honored to partner with TSA on this latest initiative,” Lisa Shoemaker, SVP, Global Corporate Relations, IDEMIA Public Security, said in a statement.

“Together with TSA, we’re making travel more accessible and less overwhelming for parents and kids alike.”

More important notes about the discount:

  • Offer valid 8/1/25–10/31/25.
  • TSA PreCheck® enrollment eligibility is a requirement for any discount. A discount or rebate off the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee does not guarantee acceptance into the TSA PreCheck Application Program.
  • All standard TSA PreCheck application terms and conditions apply.
  • TSA PreCheck must be completed through IDEMIA to receive the discount. TSA’s other authorized enrollment providers, CLEAR and Telos, are currently unable to offer the discount. TSA will not reimburse customers who enroll through CLEAR or Telos before they are able to offer the discount.
  • Primary customer must complete and pay for their own enrollment before the second customer is eligible for the $15 discount.
  • Select TSA PreCheck enrollment centers operated by IDEMIA will rebate the $15 discount after the customer pays the full fee. If a customer selects a location during the pre-enrollment process where this step is required, it will be noted in the search result. Customers who enroll at these locations will need to email both TSA PreCheck receipts to tsaenrollmentbyidemia@us.idemia.com and specify which enrollment should receive a $15 refund for the discount. Please include “Family Discount” in the email subject line. Credit cards will be reimbursed within 5 business days.

The latest discount comes on the heels of TSA’s “Serve with Honor, Travel with Ease” campaign, which offers a $25 discount on TSA PreCheck enrollment and renewals for currently serving military spouses, as well as changes and discounts  for families at select airports.
