Give the Gift of Faster Airport Lines: TSA PreCheck Launches Holiday BOGO Deal

by SharonKurheg

For years now, TSA has been aggressively nudging travelers toward PreCheck. And sure — skipping liquids removal and laptop juggling is great. But as more and more people signed up, the once-glorious PreCheck lane started looking suspiciously… normal. Crowded, even. So crowded that TSA quietly tweaked its marketing so the program didn’t sound quite as overloaded as it was becoming.

Enter TSA’s latest effort to boost enrollment even further: a BOGO-ish promotion. And yes, we should clarify — Americans typically hear “BOGO” and think “Buy One, Get One Free!” But the literal meaning is “Buy one, get one free or discounted.” TSA is definitely leaning into the discounted version.

Here’s the deal:

From now through December 31, two people who enroll together can get $15 off the second PreCheck signup through one of TSA’s approved providers: CLEAR, IDEMIA, or Telos. It doesn’t have to be a spouse or family member — just someone you enroll with and mention the “family discount.”

A few fine-print highlights:

  • Available to first-time customers only. Renewals are not eligible.
  • Customers must enroll at the same enrollment location, on the same day, at the same time.
  • No need to prove a family relationship – just sign up together and ask for the “Family Discount” to qualify.
  • For families larger than two, the promotion still applies. Example: A family of four can save $30.
  • TSA PreCheck enrollment must be completed by December 31.

IDEMIA, TSA’s long-time enrollment partner, added:
“For over 12 years, we’ve proudly enrolled travelers in TSA PreCheck… Together with TSA, we’re making travel more accessible and less overwhelming for parents and kids alike.”

A few extra important details:

  • Offer valid 11/21/25–12/31/25.
  • TSA PreCheck® enrollment eligibility is a requirement for any discount. A discount or rebate off the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee does not guarantee acceptance into the TSA PreCheck Application Program.
  • All standard TSA PreCheck application terms and conditions apply.
  • This offer cannot be combined with any other TSA PreCheck enrollment offers.
  • Primary customer must complete and pay for their own enrollment before the second customer is eligible for the $15 discount.
  • Select TSA PreCheck enrollment centers operated by IDEMIA will rebate the $15 discount after the customer pays the full fee. If a customer selects a location during the pre-enrollment process where this step is required, it will be noted in the search result. Customers who enroll at these locations will need to email both TSA PreCheck receipts to tsaenrollmentbyidemia@us.idemia.com and specify which enrollment should receive a $15 refund for the discount. Please include “Family Discount” in the email subject line. Credit cards will be reimbursed within 5 business days.

If this sounds familiar, it should — TSA ran the exact same promotion this past August through October. Apparently it worked well enough that they decided to dust it off and run with it again.

Anyway, there’s more on this page of TSA’s website.
